Several of our members have raised concerns about the integrity of the UKCP election and have also raised these concerns directly with the UKCP.
At UPCA, we recognise that this is the UKCP’s election, and issues raised require a transparent resolution using democratic and accountable processes by the UKCP.
UPCA fully encourage UKCP members to make informed decisions through their right to vote.
It also came to our attention that paying student/trainee members of UKCP (in addition to being UPCA members) do not hold voting rights. These are reserved for full memberships only. We will invite dialogue with UKCP over this matter, as students and trainees are the future of psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic counselling.
